Enablers: Start-Up Success

Enablers was a start-up company that manufactured, marketed and distributed unique products specifically designed to make daily tasks easier for people with arthritis and other disabilities. By the end of its first year, the company outplaced the two established competitors in sales growth and in retail placement by securing such retailers as Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s, and Rite Aid.

Every item in this SKU line received one or more patents. Products include: EX-Key Turner, Jar Opener & Closer, Shopping Bag Carrier, and Lamp Switch Enlarger. Enablers was honored with the Retailer Choice Award for “Best New Products” and the “Packaging of the Year” Award by the National Hardware Manufacturers Association. Enablers products were endorsed by the Arthritis Foundation.
